The Stoic Massage Therapist

Indulge in Relaxation

Welcome

I’m Haily, the founder of Stoic Massage & Wellness. My journey into massage therapy wasn’t conventional—it was forged through adventure, self-discovery, and an unwavering commitment to mastery.

I grew up in a small farm town in upstate New York, but I always knew my path extended far beyond its borders. A year after high school, I sold my car and set out to explore the world, searching for purpose. My journey began with a train ticket to Romance, Arkansas, where I volunteered on a WWOOFing ranch. From there, I traveled to Connecticut, California, and Colorado, each place shaping me in new ways.

It was in Colorado that I found my calling. I realized I wanted to dedicate my life to helping people feel and function at their best. I sought out one of the most rigorous and highly accredited programs in the world—the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. This wasn’t just a four-month intensive program; it was a transformation. The school has a saying:

"You think you're coming here to become a massage therapist, but that ends up being the byproduct."

And they were right. I left Costa Rica not just as a certified massage therapist, but as a stronger, more disciplined, and purpose-driven version of myself.

There is no single definition of what makes someone “the best” in their craft, but I believe true mastery comes from an insatiable hunger to learn and evolve. My mission is to refine my skills relentlessly, to push beyond limits, and to provide an experience that transcends the ordinary.

Why Massage Therapy?

Health and wellness have always been at the core of who I am. I wanted to build a life where movement, human connection, and deep conversations weren’t just occasional—they were everyday. When I work, I don’t just go through the motions; I find a rhythm, a flow that feels instinctive—like water moving effortlessly down a river.

Massage therapy isn’t just my career. It’s my art, my passion, and my way of making an impact in the world.
